Erica Rowell

Erica Rowell, a freelance writer and multimedia producer based in New York, has spent more than a decade covering environmental and health issues. Most recently she was the managing editor of Duke University’s TheGreenGrok blog, written by Bill Chameides, the former “blogging dean” of Duke’s Nicholas School. Before that, she wrote and produced interactive and multimedia content for Environmental Defense Fund, where she spearheaded a guide to energy-saving lights called “the best CFL guide on the Internet” by Smithsonian Magazine. She has also reported on technology, science, and the arts for ABCNEWS.com and Monitor Radio, and in 2007 her book The Brothers Grim: The Films of Ethan and Joel Coen was published by Scarecrow Press.
